Way Finders

Formerly Coureur de Bois. Two- or four-week sessions built around an 8 or 16 day canoe trip in the Temagami area for 12 to 13 year olds.

Fun and challenge on local waters.

Our two week Way Finder campers spend a few days at our base camp enjoying fun traditional camp activities and honing their paddling skills before heading out on an 8-day canoe trip in the Temagami area. Trips will travel through the incredible lakes and rivers of Daki Menan, often stopping at landmarks such as Maple Mountain or the many waterfalls of the Lady Evelyn South Channel. Portages are guaranteed!

The four week Way Finder program features a 16 day canoe trip from Temagami to Georgian Bay. Campers will spend about five days at our base camp at the beginning of the program, getting ready for their long adventure and having some fun with in-camp games, campfires and a round or two of capture the flag. Once on their canoe trip, the group will paddle through beautiful lakes and rivers, eventually arriving at the crystal clear waters of Georgian Bay.

No previous outdoor or canoe tripping experience is required.   Participants must be able to swim.
