Voyager II
Eight weeks paddling and portaging in Canada’s north for 18 year olds.
The trip of a lifetime. Spend your summer in Canada’s far north.
This program features a 52-day canoe trip in the far north. Every trip is a unique experience, featuring routes in the Territories or Labrador. Whether you are paddling vast lakes in the barrens or tracking your canoes upstream in the mountains, these routes involve significant physical and mental challenges. Immerse yourself in the trip life, and take in the vast grandeur of the north. You might spot herds of caribou or muskox along the way, or maybe you’ll hike up a mountain ridge to get incredible views of the river. Memories and friendships from your VII trip will last a lifetime.
Wanapitei endeavours to organize respectful engagement with local communities as visitors on their land. This includes scheduling visits with the Indigenous communities we paddle through and pre- and on-trip education on local history and culture.
Priority is given to those that have completed the Voyager I program with Camp Wanapitei. Previous whitewater and canoe tripping experience is required. Participants must also be competent swimmers. Please note, registration into the program does not necessarily guarantee acceptance and further information (such as a more detailed application and requirements) may be required prior to securing a spot.
