Trail Blazers

Formerly Juniors. One-week sessions built around a 3 or 4 day canoe trip in Ferguson Bay for 7 to 9 year olds

Introduce your child to canoe tripping.

It’s never too early to spark a love of the outdoors! Our one-week and two-week Trail Blazer programs are designed to help young children become familiar with and comfortable in the wilderness.

The Trail Blazers program focuses on skill development through fun. Campers spend their days paddling, hiking, learning camping and wilderness skills, swimming, singing songs, and playing with friends. Later in the week, campers head out on a 3-day canoe trip with their leaders. They’ll learn how to set up camp, roast some marshmallows, and maybe even do a portage! Our high staff to camper ratio provides a supportive environment for the whole group.

No previous outdoor or canoe tripping experience is required.  Participants must be comfortable swimming in a lake and being in a canoe.
