More Than a Summer Reprieve

I never realized the extent of the friendships she has developed and maintained through her experiences at camp with such incredible young people. She is very fortunate. Wanapitei is certainly an integral and well established component of her life, much more than a summer reprieve.

By Car

Directions: From the town of Temagami, drive north on Highway 11 for 10 kilometres and turn left (west) on the Red Squirrel Road. Drive straight on the Red Squirrel Road for 28 kilometres, following the signs to Wanapitei.

Parking: Our parking lot is a small cleared area in the forest. Turn left at the sign that says "Public Access to Lake Temagami" to get to the Wanapitei parking lot.

By Bus

Our camp bus leaves Vaughan (north of Toronto) and Ottawa in the morning of every 2-week arrival day and returns in the afternoon of every 2-week departure day. Stops are: Vaughan, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Ottawa, Deep River, North Bay, and Temagami.
