2nd session begins!

Happy to report that our 2nd session is off to a roaring start.  The bus arrived at 5:30 (on time), staff and campers alike were eager to get things started.  The weather here continues to be beautiful so the walk in to camp was dry and straight forward.  An awesome dinner of homemade mac n’ cheese was devoured and now evening program is in full swing.  There’s  a buzz around camp with all this great energy that has just arrived.

In addition to the campers who arrived today we continue to have 80 campers on the trail.  The VII’s (all 3 trips) are on day 14 of 52.  The WLIT’s paddle under the bridge tomorrow ending their 3 day solo’s.  Both Bay Trips continue to make good progress, one on the Kesagami River day 12 of 24 and the other on the Partridge River day 11 of 23.  The 4-week Pioneers are on day 9 of 19 and the 4-week Cdb’s are on day 8 of 18.

The first trips to leave this session are the Cdb’s, Juniors and Pioneers (2 groups of Pioneers) – all on Tuesday July 16th.  Followed by the WLIT 7 day whitewater course on the 17th and the Temagami’s for their 6 day trip on the 18th.  Cdb’s will be gone for 8 days, the Pioneers for 9 days, Juniors for 3 days.  We’ll be sure to update you when they leave.

Thanks for sending us your children, we’re delighted to be a part of their summer!
