Getting Here in the Summer

From the town of Temagami, drive north on Highway 11 for 10 kilometres and turn left (west) on the Red Squirrel Road.*

Drive straight on the Red Squirrel Road for 28 kilometres, following the signs to Wanapitei.  At kilometre 28, turn left, drive 100 metres, turn left and park at the parking lot.  Walk the Jack Pine Trail 800 metres to the Wanapitei Wilderness Centre.

*Please note that the Red Squirrel Road is an unmaintained gravel road, used by logging trucks.  Drive with caution!
