Tripping in Temagami

Temagami is world renowned for its canoe routes.  With 6,000 square kilometres of canoe country accessible from our doorstep, the Chateau is the ideal place to launch a wilderness canoe trip.  If you need equipment, we've got it.

Temagami Old Growth Special

Following a night in the Chateau, set off from our beach for a 5-day canoe trip through some of Ontario's largest stands of old growth pine.  This novice-to-intermediate route will take you from Lake Temagami, through Diamond, Wakimika and Obabika Lakes and back to Sandy Inlet for a final evening in the Chateau.  Includes accommodation, maps and all food and equipment.  Price is based on double occupancy. 

Lady Evelyn River Fly-in Special

Following a night in the Chateau, travel by floatplane to scenic Catherine Lake.  For the next 5 days descend the picturesque Lady Evelyn River, past its cascading falls and trout ponds, to the majestic Lady Evelyn Lake, Diamond Lake and back to the comforts of the Chateau for a final evening.
